Another November Birthday in the Books

Happy 17th birthday Jon!  What a blessing you are in our family.  It is so much fun to celebrate you.  This particular year we celebrate on the same day of the week that we did 17 years ago!  The Tuesday before Thanksgiving!  It is unbelievable that it has already been that many years.

 Josh's transition to college meant a room of your own as you began your junior year.

It's been fun watching you play football each week and continue to excel.  

 It gets harder and harder to write new things about each of you kids...you will always be our kid who just quietly goes through each day.  You are compliant and mostly humble except when you're not, :).
You are a great friend and a good example to others.  You are a fantastic big brother and always have been so capable of diverting chaotic situations by entertaining small people and engaging them in some sort of play.  You are still my design nemesis...disagreeing with almost 100% of all of my style choices.

 Perhaps we should keep only the top of this photo?  It may be the only one that you are taller than Lauren in!

 Typically you request a carrot cake, but you weren't having it this year, so instead it was sweet potato with marshmallow frosting to which you made known your hesitation, but then decided it was pretty tasty.

We hope this 17th year is fantastic for you!  We love you to the moon and back and we are so glad you were born!
